He's one of the founding members and President of AMAB from its foundation, 1986
Since 1986 he was Director of AMAB (Medical Acupuncturists Association of Bologna); He's one of the founding members and Director of Italo-Chinese Acupuncture School in Bologna
Since 1999 he's President of the Italian Federation of Acupuncture Societies (FISA), which represents the majority of reality of Acupuncture in Italy. President of FISA School Coordination Board and member of the coordination of FISA acupuncture Research Board.
He was director of the School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Foundation Matteo Ricci 1998-2008 .
Since 2001 he holds the position of Vice President of PEFOTS (Pan European Federation of TCM Societies).
Since 2003 he is Referee of CME Program, Ministry of Health, Republic of Italy. In this year he served as WHO collaborating member for Guidelines on Acupuncture Research
Member of the Observatory for Non Conventional Medicines of Regione Emilia-Romagna, Italy from its foundation (2004).
Member of the Steering Joint Committee of Ministry of Health of Republic of Italy – Government of People's Republic of China for Promotion of High Quality Teaching and Practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Italy from its foundation (2005).
Since 2005 he's member of the French College of Acupuncture.
Since 2007 he holds the position of Vice President WFCMS (World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies).
Since 2010 he holds the position of Expert of the Superior Council of Health for Non Conventional Medicines

TRAINING AND TEACHING EXPERIENCES

He graduates from Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna in 1980. He holds the title of acupuncturist in the undergraduate program of the Academy of Acupuncture Marche in 1982 and the Faculty of Traditional Chinese Medicine Guangzhou (China ) in 1990.
Other specific course in acupuncture: Course of Acupuncture at China Shanghai International Acupuncture Training Centre and Course of Clinical Practice on Acupuncture at China Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Centre both sponsored by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, People's Republic of China.
He was " Visiting Professor " at the Faculty of Chinese Medicine of Guangzhou.
He is" Visiting Professor " of the Institute of Medicine and Chinese Pharmacopoeia Gansu (China).
He taught at the course " Improvement in neurophysiological basis and clinical applications of Reflexology and Acupuncture Traditional Chinese " at the Faculty of Medicine, chair of Neurology University of Ancona,
He was qualified teacher of "Specialization Course in Acupuncture" Chair of Medical Therapy and Thermal Medicine, University of Milan, Italy and Qualified teacher of a Specialization Course in Acupuncture: "Acupuncture in Sport Medicine" Post graduate School in Sport Medicine, University of Brescia, Italy during the period from 1998 to 2000.
He was qualified teacher of Second Level Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine University of Rome " La Sapienza"
Since 2004 he's qualified teacher of a Specialization Course in Acupuncture, University of Bologna, Italy.
Since 2005 he's qualified teacher of Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, University of Florence, Italy
Since 2008 he's qualified teacher of Master of Acupuncture and TCM, University of Bologna

He was invited speakers in many national and international scientific conferences.
Since the foundation he's member of the Editorial Board of TCM Italian Review (Quarterly Scientific Review of TCM Matteo Ricci School and Fondazione Matteo Ricci, Bologna, Italy; including the Italian edition of Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In 2006 he became Member of ECAM Journal Editorial Board;
