Annunzio Matrà

Member of the board for the Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Emilia Romagna.

Dr. Annunzio Matrà lives in and works in Bologna (Italy). In 25/7/1975 he graduated in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bologna with 110/110 cum laude. In 12/7/1978 he specialized in Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bologna with 70/70 cum laude. From 1976 he works as General Practitioner in Bologna. In 1985 achieved Specialization in Chinese Medicine and Traditional Acupunture from Italian School of Chinese Medicine "Gruppo Studio Società Salute" in Bologna. He is working from then as acupunturist in Bologna. From 1986 he is Teacher of Acupuncture in Italians School of Chinese Medicine. From 1991 until 1995. he was Teacher at the Specialization Course on "Foundments of Chinese Medicine " at the Faculty of Medicine of the University "G.D'Annunzio" of Chieti (Italy). From 1999 he was Teacher at the Specialization Course on Acupuncture (Base) of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Milan. Teacher at the Three-years Specialization Course on Non-Conventional Medicines and Complementary Techniques.

He is Teacher at the Master in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine - Integration with Western Medicine" of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Florence.

He is honorary vice president of the Chinese Association of Chinese Farmacology of Canton (China).

From 1999 until 2005 he was the President of the Matteo Ricci Foundation in Bologna

From 2004 he is member of the board for the Non Conventional and Alternative Medicine of the Emilia Romagna.

Actually is teacher of Chinese Acupunture and Chinese Herbal Medicine of Italian Chinese School of Acupuncture of the A.M.A.B. (Associazione Medici Agopuntori Bologna) Association. He is also Responsible of Clinical Research of the A.M.A.B Association.

He is author of a chapter of the "Treatise of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine" (UTET ed., 1992).

He is author of the book "The Fisiopatology of Qi, Xue and Jin Ye in Traditional Chinese Medicine" (Books of Natural Medicine of the Italian Review of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1998)

Co-author of the book "Foundaments of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (Casa Editrice Ambrosiana Ed. 2006) and of the book "Chinese Dietetics" Casa Editrice Ambrosiana Ed. 2011)
