Guidelines for Poster preparation

Poster Format
Vertical format 100x70 cm printed on matt paper 70g is required.

Poster structure and content
The different part of the Poster should be assembled in order to deliver the poster content quickly and clearly. It could be useful to organize the content of the poster in two columns and/or separate the different part of the Poster using different colours or frames. The poster should flow from left to right and top to bottom.
The main contents should include: Title, Authors (with affiliations), Rationale, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions and References. Moreover, the selected Symposium topic must be indicated.

The text should be brief but complete, focussing as narrowly as possible on the central ideas to be conveyed. Only the amount of information that can be absorbed by the viewer in five minutes or less should be presented.

We advise to:
• Keep it simple
• Emphasize the concepts using highlighted words
• Use few necessary tables and figures to clarify essential concepts
• Remember that the text accompanies the graphics, and not the other way around
• Choose a font size readable by at least 1 meter (we suggest font 24-26 for the body text and 16 for captions)
It could be useful to bring some poster copies in A4 format or similar.

Poster Presentation
Posters should be set up at least 1 hour before the start of the Symposium
At least one of the poster's authors must be registered to the Symposium. Any of the authors can present and discuss the poster content.

A 5-minutes presentation will be allowed for each poster.

A 15-minutes discussion and Q&A session will follow only after the last poster has been presented.

The discussion and Q&A session will be moderated by a chair and will be open to auditors.
The Symposium audience can express themselves until 16.30 giving the evaluation card to the secretariat.

The posters will be removed by the organizing committee members.

Poster Award
The two best posters will be rewarded at the end of the works: € 250 for the 1° place and € 150 for the 2° place.
